Thermal-Vac is committed to giving opportunities to anyone who shows an interest in what we do. Our Second Chance Employer program, operated in partnership with Chrysalis, is a key component of our effort to eliminate the barriers that otherwise can prevent great people from starting a new career.

Chrysalis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people who are struggling with homelessness or low income to find meaningful, sustainable work. By breaking the cycle of homelessness and poverty, Chrysalis transforms the lives of the people it helps strengthens their communities at the same time. Their work in Orange County has put over 200 individuals to work in less than a year.

This year Thermal-Vac is proud to support Chrysalis and its The Future is Working 2020 fundraising campaign. Gifts will support the programs Chrysalis runs, like resume support, interview practice, job-readiness classes, and professional attire.

Over 70% of Chrysalis clients are still employed after six months, and most have moved on to higher paying jobs. The results are driven by the comprehensive approach Chrysalis takes to addressing the sources of their clients’ challenges. One-on-one attention ensures every client gets the support they need. The program provides training, financial stability workshops, legal aid, and mental health counseling. With a goal to put 320 people back to work by the end of 2020, Chrysalis needs our support.
